Chain Link Fence Options in Orlando

We install several types of chain link fence in the Orlando area including standard galvanized, vinyl coated (black & green) and even have privacy slats available in several colors. Chain link is generally 11-1/2 gauge for galvanized residential fences and 9 gauge for vinyl coated fencing options.

Chain Link Fence Installation in Orlando

Our chain link fence installation includes concreting all the posts, using longer posts when it is a gate hinge post (for added strength and support), pulling the wire tight to provide a more secure fence and using the correct fittings and metal ties.

Owner Note: One thing that we do that most companies don't comes into play when you have a post next to the house. All houses have a footer which can push the post up to a foot from the house wall. We take this problem out of play by attaching a post to the house using special fittings that provide a for small 2" gap and removes the need to break the foundation to get the post closer.

Chain Link Fence Costs in Orlando

Chain link fence has a large range in pricing. It can start as low as $14 per linear foot for 4' tall galvanized chain link fence up to $30 per linear foot for 6' tall vinyl coated fence options. There is also the added cost for each terminal post and any gates included in the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How tall can a chain link fence be in Orlando?
A: In Orlando residential chain link fence can be no taller that 6 feet. Commercial installations can be up to 8 feet tall, with some exceptions for taller fencing.

Q: Can I have a chain link fence with barb wire on top around my yard?
A: No, barb wire is prohibited in all residential fence installations. It is allowed for commercial fencing and some agricultural fences.

Q: Is there a way to make a chain link fence into a privacy fence?
A: Yes, can install vinyl privacy slats in just about any chain link fence installation. While the standard slats are not completely privacy they do provide a good amount of privacy. We can even get slats that look like bushes which provide privacy and a more organic appearance.

Q:How long does chain link fence last?
A: Chain link fence can last for decades and is one of the longest and strongest fence options available. It is galvanized metal and is resistant to rust and corrosion. And the vinyl coated version adds even better resistance to weather and is better for use in areas with salt exposure from the ocean or intercoastal waterway.

Q: I live in the City of Apopka, can I have a chain link fence around my yard?
A: Unfortunately no. The City of Apopka like a couple of other cities in the Orlando area does not allow chain link fence. If you have a HOA you should also confirm with them if chain link fence is allowed, most do not.

Q: Can an existing chain link fence be repaired?
A: Yes, in most cases we can provide chain link fence repair. But older fences have different link sizes than the newer chain link fence products we use today. There are differences in older fittings as well but we can usually work around this.
